Token Value Crashes: The DJT token, themed after former President Trump and issued by Martin Shkreli, plunged by 90% on August 6, 2024, after a $2 million sale caused the token’s value to fall from $0.10 to under $0.01, alarming investors.

Shkreli’s Role Revealed: DJT was issued in June and gained virality amid rumors of connections to Trump. Martin Shkreli, known as "Pharma Bro," later claimed he helped Barron Trump create and popularize DJT. On June 19, blockchain sleuths linked DJT's Telegram admins to another Shkreli-backed token, raising questions about insider activity.
