Ledger Customer Data Leaked (again)

🔒 Ledger Data Breach Confirmed
Breach Incident Details: Ledger has confirmed that customer data was exposed due to unauthorized access in the systems of its third-party e-commerce partner, Global-e, which serves as the Merchant of Record for international purchases on Ledger.com. The incident involved unusual activity detected in a portion of Global-e's cloud-based network, prompting the company to contain and secure its systems while engaging independent forensic experts for investigation. Notifications were sent to affected customers by Global-e, and the matter gained attention after blockchain investigator ZachXBT shared the email alert on social media on January 5th, 2026.
Compromised Data Scope: The exposed information includes customer names and contact details, such as addresses, related to orders processed through Global-e. No payment information, account credentials, or passwords were compromised. Ledger emphasized that the breach did not affect its own platform, hardware devices, or software systems. A Ledger spokesperson stated: “For the avoidance of doubt, as the Ledger product is self-custodial, Global-e does not have access to your 24 words, blockchain balance, or any secrets related to digital assets.” The exact number of affected Ledger customers remains undisclosed.
Company Response Measures: Ledger clarified that the incident was separate from its operations and worked with Global-e to notify impacted users. The company advised customers to remain vigilant against potential phishing attempts and to use features like Clear Signing for transactions. Global-e handles e-commerce services for multiple brands, and Ledger noted that it was not the only entity affected. This event follows a previous 2020 data breach involving over 270,000 Ledger customers through another partner. Ledger stated: “This was not a breach of Ledger’s platform, hardware or software systems, which remain secure.” Read More.

🌿 OpenEden: Tokenized Real-World Assets | ![]() |
🌿 What is OpenEden: OpenEden is a real-world asset (RWA) tokenization platform that brings US Treasury Bill yields on-chain. Its key products include TBILL, tokenized T-Bills rated AA+ by S&P Global Ratings and A by Moody's, and USDO, a regulated yield-bearing stablecoin. Backed by investors like YZi Labs and Ripple, OpenEden provides compliant access to traditional finance yields in DeFi with TVL exceeding $200M.
🚀 Latest Updates: OpenEden recently outlined its strategic blueprint to expand tokenization with new offerings like tokenized funds, multi-strategy yield tokens, structured products, regional stablecoins, and cross-border payment networks. This builds on earlier fundraising with YZi Labs in 2024. A new strategic investment round from Ripple, Lightspeed Faction, Anchorage Digital Ventures, and others will support growth of its end-to-end RWA tokenization-as-a-service platform for issuing and managing regulated tokenized products.
⚡ Why OpenEden Stands Out: OpenEden delivers institutional-grade infrastructure with trusted partners like BNY as primary custodian for TBILL (~$115M TVL). USDO (~$93M TVL) is a regulated yield-bearing stablecoin issued by a Bermuda-licensed entity. Founded by Jeremy Ng (formerly at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Gemini), the team brings strong TradFi experience to on-chain finance.
